I’ve been kind of MIA for the last couple of months since I’ve been rather busy with freelancing. Also I’ve started to look for inspiration in different places aside from Tumblr. I was finding it very repetitive. Also design trends were just sticking around for a good while and I needed a palette cleanser. Some variation in styles.
Been looking at fashion photography, back to my old illustration roots looking at video game and animation art books and concept books. Kinda hard to find what excites me to create when it comes to art.
I’ll be back with good stuff once I find a few fun sources of inspiring work (given that I also use this as my scratch book)
Sorry for the lack of updates guys and gals.
I’m still alive.
Finally quit my job and started doing freelance full time. It’s pretty time consuming at the beginning but it should let up a wee bit more sooner or later so I can have a chance to breathe and post more stuff… so many all nighters.
Speaking of which, lately I really haven’t found anything interesting to post really (since I use this as a scrap book of some sort as well). A lot of the design trends are really wide spread where I find it difficult to see anything that really excites me. Also why I’ve been posting a lot of photography. I always enjoy fashion photography/nature subjects. Don’t get me wrong it’s all very beautiful, but I need to be stimulated some more (guess that happens when you spend an hour or three looking at stuff every day).
Anyway, I’ll come back with more stuff as soon as the madness lets up on my end.
P.S. If like me you grew up watching 70’s japanese robot cartoons, I’d recommend you go watch Pacific Rim and feel like a little kid again. Mazinger Z, Kotetsu Jeeg and Gaiking would be proud of that film.
